History

Moree Clay Target Club was established in the 1940's and has been an integral part of the sporting community in Moree since this time. Orignally the Club was located off Anne Street, Moree but moved to it's present location around 1976.

Since the relocation of the Club extensive works have been carried out to bring the Club up to it's present day standard. Shooters can enjoy 5 DTL layouts on the grounds along with 2 Skeet layouts and 1 tower layout. Ongoing upgrades and maintenance is being carried out on the site to ensure modern, up-to-date facilities for the enjoyment of shooters and visitors.

New traps were installed during 2007 and were funded through a grant from the NSW Department of Sport & Recreation.

Over the years we have had a number of successes on State & National levels. In 2008 we had a club member representing Moree, Western Zone & NSW at the National Trap Championships.

Location

The Club is located approx 10kms north of Moree on the Goondiwindi Road (Newell Highway). Travel north from Moree towards Goondiwindi until you come to the Boolooroo Bridge. After you have crossed the bridge turn right into Mosquito Creek Road (Camurra Lane) - first right after the bridge. Cross the railway line and follow the road heading east along Mosquito Creek Road (Camurra Lane) towards Pallamallawa approx 2kms. The Club turnoff is located on the left.
